Quit Smoking!!!

January 9, 2008

The topic itself is embarrassing to most of the smokers who ever tried to stop smoking.  They know how hard it can be. It is hard because nicotine is a very addictive drug just like heroin or cocaine. It hurts as hell when you realizes that you failed to quit smoking this time. The US Centers for Disease Control estimated in 90s that male smokers lost an average of 13.2 years of life and female smokers lost 14.5 years of life just because of smoking. And I just don’t care :P

When did we forget our dreams? The infinite possibilities each day holds should stagger the mind. The sheer number of experiences I could have is uncountable, breathtaking, and I’m sitting here refreshing my inbox. We live trapped in loops, reliving a few days over and over, and we envision only a handful of paths laid out ahead of us. We see the same things each day, we respond the same way, we think the same thoughts, each day a slight variation on the last, every moment smoothly following the gentle curves of societal norms. We act like if we just get through today, tomorrow our dreams will come back to us.

And no, I don’t have all the answers. I don’t know how to jolt myself into seeing what each moment could become. But I do know one thing: the solution doesn’t involve watering down my every little idea and creative impulse for the sake of some day easing my fit into a mold. It doesn’t involve tempering my life to better fit someone’s expectations. It doesn’t involve constantly holding back for fear of shaking things up.

Textpattern Blog

February 16, 2007

Ah… it looks good. They say it’s a flexible, elegant, easy-to-use content management system for all kinds of websites, even weblogs. Who knows… However the installation was really cool nothing to stumble through or jump over. But you can’t compare it with that of wordpress which has a two step installation. The admin interface is easy navigate with a nice look. Overall it’s a good Blog based CMS with a lot of plugins. You can find a help button named “?” many places which is actually a short description from the official website. I like the logout link from the admin interface which can be found in the bottom.

I think I should keep this blog alive.

Hats of to Dean Allen for this wonderful CMS.

The Matrix

December 14, 2006

Today I found nothing interesting in Newspaper, So you can read some interesting quotes from the film “The Matrix”.

morepheous

Laurence Fishburne in “The Matrix”

Morpheus: I imagine that right now, you’re feeling a bit like Alice. Hmm? Tumbling down the rabbit hole?
Neo: You could say that.
Morpheus: I see it in your eyes. You have the look of a man who accepts what he sees because he is expecting to wake up. Ironically, that’s not far from the truth. Do you believe in fate, Neo?
Neo: No.
Morpheus: Why not?
Neo: Because I don’t like the idea that I’m not in control of my life.
Morpheus: I know *exactly* what you mean. Let me tell you why you’re here. You’re here because you know something. What you know you can’t explain, but you feel it. You’ve felt it your entire life, that there’s something wrong with the world. You don’t know what it is, but it’s there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad. It is this feeling that has brought you to me. Do you know what I’m talking about?
Neo: The Matrix.
Morpheus: Do you want to know what it is?
Neo: Yes.
Morpheus: The Matrix is everywhere. It is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work… when you go to church… when you pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.
Neo: What truth?
Morpheus: That you are a slave, Neo. Like everyone else you were born into bondage. Into a prison that you cannot taste or see or touch. A prison for your mind.

I’am back

December 13, 2006

Well… it has been a long time since I posted something in my blog. Today I decided to start blogging again. I used to change my passwords frequently, most of the times I forget them but this time it was different. I went for a wild guess and it worked. However it’s good to be back.

Exploiting the Situation

August 12, 2006

In my last post(well.. I agree the guy is dead) I mentioned some points which can be useful for a few people. But it doesn’t mean that you can’t buy such things… the only place where I went wrong was the name of the new verappan. But someone is hiding behind those woods who is a close friend of karnataka/kerala,tamilnadu police. And he is the one who can get us those goods.

Just go through the newspaper headlines… First of all, let me make a wild guess… you believe Bangalore is safer than any other city in India. You are probabliy wrong… this is the city which can be most affected if it’s goes under another terrorist attack. If you consider Mumbai or Delhi people living out there are really used to it. Nothing can stop them no matter whether its Monsoon, Tsunami or Al-Qaida. Even if it kills thousands of people over there, I assure you everything will be back ontrack within a few days. But in the case of Banglore it’s different. It will take months for us to recover. In short Banglore lacks the experience even though this city has seen a few terrorist attacks, we don’t know how to deal with it.

That the story any third rated newspaper in Bangalore can tell/convince you with a lot of reasons and statistics. It seems like no one is concerned about these possibilities. Now let me come to the point. What I must say is “It’s good”, atleast for a person who has got 1/2 year experience in IT field will think the same. Oh come on… you know why? please don’t pretend… you are not a saint who wants to see peace everywhere. Yes, there you are.. I mean it. it’s the job oppertunities it can bring…. In a city like bangalore you can get a person replaced within a week without a big fuss. So if the terrorists targets Bangalore, if you can survive(Of course its the law of nature survival of the fittest)… Huh you are the one who is going to enjoy all these. Ok guys please keep a safe distance(they have Kala Saboon, yes RDX) from PVR, Central all those mutiplexs and if you are working in Intel, Hp or accenture it’s the right time to get a ticket(may be a couple of tickets) to Kashmir to enjoy the scenary(Nowadays they are not interested in Kashmir).

Im just a regular Joe, with a regular job
Im your average white, suburbanite slob
I like football and porno and books about war

(Dennis Leary – I am an asshole)

Thats all for today kids!

New Verappan Arrives

August 9, 2006

I read this exciting news in todays newspaper (The Times of India Aug-9-2006) with a hot cup of coffee. In a country like india we need this kind of people to meet our needs for illegal goods. Can you imagine a pair of tusks (those huge… beautiful… white tusks) decorating your guest room. Everyone who happens to enter your guest room will wonder about the dirty contacts you have with these kind of people and will think twice before making tough decisions which may affect you. Some of you might be thinking I have gone too far from the conservative outlook but as far as I think I am on right track, I believe you don’t have any other choice.

Concerned about Menaka Gandhi? no problem I have a solution for that. Actually, all we(me and Imbali Jose) need is the tusk not the tusker. So why don’t we try some fiber tusks for Elephants. We can replace the original tusks with the a pair of duplicate tusks made of fiber. Anyway they are not going to eat stones and these National Geographic lovers can setup some GPRS in it so that they can trace these elephants at any time. This may look like a stupid idea for most of you guys but think about the price of tusks… you will come to know that what I told you wasn’t a bad idea.

If you can kill bacteria using tablets, virus using antibotics, worms for silk, pigs/rats& monkeys for testing medicines. I don’t think we need to worry about this. Its just like using sheep for wool this is okie…
By the way do you think Wayanad forest is a haystack where you can’t find such needles?

Thats all for today Kids!
